— about

Lily Archives, whose real name is Maria-Lisa, born in 2001, is a french-algerian vocalist, producer, and singer-songwriter based in Paris, France. she has been active on soundcloud since 2018, and more recently on streaming platforms since 2021. formerly known under the artist names staring girl, egobaby, and 4ffection, she continues to develop her alternative project Lily Archives with the ambition of turning her music into a true intimate diary, exploring emotions and complex psychological themes through a deeply personal approach, while remaining rooted in a fairy-like autotuned atmosphere where imagination transcends reality.

her lyrics are primarily written and performed in english. Lily Archives' writing recurrently explores themes of self-destruction, emotional dependency, and identity-related distress.

the world of Lily Archives draws equally from contemporary digital cultures and organic, natural imagery. her compositions seek to evoke liminal spaces, misty rural landscapes, silent forests, snowy expanses, and blurred memories tied to nature, translated through immersive, melancholic ambient electronics. this approach gives rise to tracks where emotional buildups and sonic climaxes occupy a central place, reflecting the intensity of emotion and the inner violence running through her writing.

among her many influences are Oklou, Elusin, Lil Bo Weep, Salem, Corbin, Ecco2K, Charli XCX, and Crystal Castles. she is also very close to her longtime friend and collaborator Skrapes, whom she met at university. together, they have worked on several duet tracks such as Scream and Dogonyat, as well as solo songs including love letters and looking for the stars, and more recently All Flesh Rots, which he co-produced, arranged, mixed and mastered.
